You're never too old for survival skills. With this experience from School of Self-Reliance, take a Weaponry Workshop led by Christopher Nyerges (forefather to Bear Grylls and all things self-preservation). He'll take you into the untouched and pristine park at The Hahamongna Watershed for an afternoon focused on how to make simple weapons, both primitive and modern, including snares, deadfalls, nets, slings, atlatl, and possibly the crossbow (if you all promise to be good). Nyerges' unique style of hands-on, experience based instruction coupled with his out in the field class makes for an easy-to-learn and fun way to spend your Saturday. Empower yourself by being prepared for the worst-case scenario of getting stuck in the great outdoors and needing to defend yourself and trap food to survive.
